Marketing & Websites

Marketing is vital to any company, but so easily forgotten and doesn’t come naturally to most people.Rather than standing in the rain and shouting to the world about your great product or service, its important to target your marketing energies and budget towards the people who are going to listen and buy your product or service.Earthly Ideas can offer years of experience in marketing and website design, which means we can provide you with some really innovative marketing ideas to move your business on.

More often than not, the marketing stories are already there, you just need to identify them and know how to tell the world. Most marketing plans we develop, can be carried out by the client, which is less costly and more personal.

Websites & The Internet

Most marketing must include the internet, even if you don’t use the internet, the vast majority of people do.

Its vital to make sure you have a website that is attractive and helpful to your customers, but also search engine compatible.  There are too many websites being produced that look great, but can’t be read by the search engines like Google, meaning their readership is low.  All the websites that Earthly Ideas produces are very successful for both customers and search engines.

There should be no reason to spend lots of money on online advertising and there is seldom a case where you need to be number 1 on Google.  A good website should be about generating the right number of enquiries or sales for your business that fit your business size.  If you only have 5 bedrooms to sell, a million enquiries will simply mean you spend a lot of time saying you are full.

These are some of the websites we currently run:

www.norwichbackpackers.co.uk
Website promoting Norwich Backpackers. Although the hostel is still in development, it’s important to begin the marketing and put Norwich on the backpacker map. This website will develop over time to promote this new facility in the City and the activities and attractions that backpackers can enjoy in the local area.

www.deepdalebackpackers.co.uk
Website promoting Deepdale Farm’s tourism facilities, including the backpackers hostel, campsite and tourist information centre.  The site receives over 10,000 unique visitors a month and generates over 90% of the bookings.

www.clippesby.com
Website promoting Clippesby Hall, which offers lodges, cottages & family touring park for campervans, caravans and campers.  They are based in the Norfolk Broads and wanted a site that reflected their new corporate style, while supplying their customers with excellent information.

www.thecanoeman.com
Website promoting TheCanoeMan’s range of canoe trips in and around the Norfolk Broads. They wanted to have a website that would rank them highly, reducing costs of Google Adwords advertising. The website organises the range of trips into easily understandable groups and is simple to use.

www.burnhamdeepdale.co.uk and www.brancasterstaithe.co.uk
Community websites promoting these two villages on the beautiful north Norfolk coast.  Advertisers pay for an annual listing or link and the site has expanded greatly over the last few years as readership has increased.

www.whitesbutchers.co.uk
An Aylsham butchers, who wanted and needed an online marketing tool to promote the range of products they sold.

www.churchfarmstowbardolph.co.uk
This rare breeds centre was looking to totally rebuild their website, attracting more customers to their website and therefore to the farm.  It was important to increase the ranking of the site in Google and other search engines.

www.ruraladvice.co.uk
With the team at Norfolk Rural Business Advice, Jason developed the new website and a diversification toolkit.  The aim of the new site is to help people diversify more easily and to give them up to date advice about planning, grants and other regulations during the process.
